Persistent Systems is seeking a Digital Signal Processing Engineer (DSP) to join our team in NYC. You will work on complex signal processing solutions for our industry leading MANET networks. Our networks provide our customers with powerful solutions to send data and operate in the harshest environments in the world. You will collaborate with our FPGA Engineers, RF and Embedded Software Engineers to develop digital signal processing solutions.
Position Responsibilities
- Involved in transforming device specifications into realized software-defined radio solutions for a critical operational system
- Directly contribute to the design and development of digital signal processing solutions
- Be a vital member of a dynamic small team where your work immediately contributes to operational products, and you will have a solid connection to the impact of your work
- Engage in field testing and deployment of Wave Relay MANET capabilities
- Develop an understanding of our processing architecture, system control interfaces, and data products, then use that knowledge to build robust solutions providing meaningful real-world results
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Digital Signal Processing, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent
- 3 years of Digital signal processing (DSP) experience
- Experience with communication and information theory
- 3 years of experience in coding, modulation, and synchronization
- Experience with Antenna and RF systems
- Must be proficient in MATLAB, C or C++
- Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Verilog/VHDL
- FPGA or ASIC design flows
- PhD in Digital Signal Processing, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics
