What you’ll do
We are seeking a B2B outbound qualified business development representative (BDR) to help us sell the products and services our customers want by reaching out to potential customers, including real estate property management companies and owners/operators. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal BDR understands the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. The BDR should be a quick learner with strong communication skills and can showcase our offerings compellingly. Every potential customer is an opportunity to boost top-line revenue growth, acquisition levels, and profitability.
Objectives of this Role
- Represent our company’s products and services with a deep and comprehensive understanding, followed by consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs.
- Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps.
- Successfully implement sales and marketing strategies and tactics to meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Identify prospects: Use B2B data to find decision-makers at SFH, MFH property management companies, owners/operations, and other verticals.
- Qualify leads: Research potential clients and contact them to determine if they are viable sales opportunities.
- Create personalized messages: Present products or services and negotiate contract terms.
- Reach out to prospects: Use various outreach methods such as cold calling, email campaigns, and social media (e.g., Linkedin) outreach.
- Build long-term relationships with prospects if they are not ready to transact in the near term.
- Schedule appointments: Set up appointments for the sales team to meet with qualified leads.
- Overcome objections: Address any concerns the prospect may have.
- Ensure maintenance of Salesforce records and pipeline for corresponding follow-ups and actions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Preference for candidates in NYC (Hybrid). Remote candidates will also be considered.
- Previous experience in a Business Development Representative role or equivalent, focusing on B2B software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.
- Proven track record of exceeding outreach and meeting quotas.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup/fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Experience selling to property management companies is a plus.
Compensation
- $40,000-$55,000 base salary plus commission
