Associate Attorney – Labor Law

Location: New York City

We are a well-established New York City insurance, construction, personal injury, labor, and employment defense firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in labor law and litigation. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a team of highly skilled litigators while making a meaningful impact on client cases.

Our firm specializes in sophisticated construction and labor law litigation, general liability, insurance coverage, products liability, and appellate practice. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including PTO, health insurance, and a retirement plan.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in handling labor law, premises liability, and construction defect cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Participate in discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, conducting depositions, and handling document review.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and mediations.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in construction law, insurance law, labor law, and personal injury litigation.
• Admission to the New York Bar required; admission in NJ and/or CT is a plus.
• Experience handling New York Labor Law litigation matters in State court (Federal court experience is a plus).
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
