Job Description:
The Training Specialist I is responsible for developing and delivering training programs that enhance staff proficiency, improve operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality patient registration processes. This individual will work closely with management to identify training needs, implement educational materials, and track staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training materials, guides, and policies to support registration and insurance verification processes.
- Conduct new hire training and ongoing education to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Monitor staff performance, track productivity, and provide coaching based on quality audits.
- Create newsletters and training updates to keep staff informed of system changes and common registration errors.
- Collaborate with management to assess training needs and provide solutions for performance improvement.
- Oversee standard operating procedures to ensure uniformity and efficiency in registration workflows.
- Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and other technology tools to develop and present training materials.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in healthcare registration with experience in insurance verification (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, etc.).
- Proficiency in EPIC systems and ability to train others on its functionality.
- Experience creating training guides, conducting audits, and improving registration workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with management and staff .
- Tech-savvy individual with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including multiple shifts, to accommodate training schedules.
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Flexible shifts (day and evening availability required; occasional weekends).
- Reporting to: Director of Registration.
