Position Overview:
Our Client, a tech startup in downtown Chicago, is looking for a driven and capable Front Desk Receptionist. In this position, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in our office. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining an organized workspace, handling day-to-day administrative tasks, and supporting our team with various office duties. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the office, and we’re looking for someone who can juggle multiple tasks while staying upbeat and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct visitors with a warm and professional demeanor
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls to the appropriate team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient front desk area
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings as needed
- Assist with office-related tasks such as picking up lunches, organizing deliveries, and managing supplies
- Manage office-related correspondence, including sorting and distributing mail
- Assist with basic administrative support and special projects as needed
- Monitor and maintain office security protocols (signing in guests, issuing visitor badges)
- Provide support to team members and leadership with other office tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high-volume phone calls and in-person interactions in a professional manner
- Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week
