Our client, a prominent Houston law firm is seeking a highly skilled Trial Paralegal with extensive experience in complex commercial litigation . This is a dynamic, hands-on role supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation—from case inception to trial. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of law firm experience , including a strong background in trial preparation and courtroom support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support throughout all stages of litigation, with a focus on high-stakes commercial matters
- Assist in the management of large-scale document reviews and productions (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, or similar platforms)
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, trial exhibits, and correspondence
- Prepare witness and exhibit binders, manage trial logistics, and support attorneys in court
- Maintain case files and calendars, track court deadlines, and assist with filings in state and federal courts
- Attend trials (as needed), supporting attorneys with real-time document handling, exhibits, and coordination
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting, specifically in commercial litigation
- Proven trial experience, including in-courtroom support
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and e-filing in state and federal courts
- Proficiency with litigation support software and document management systems
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
