Legal Executive Assistant – Trusts & Estates | $80K–$100K | Chicago, IL
LHH is assisting a leading global law firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Executive Assistant to join their Trusts and Estates / Private Wealth practice group in their downtown Chicago office . This role supports a team of attorneys working with high-net-worth individuals and families on estate planning, tax strategies, and fiduciary matters.

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, revise, and format complex legal documents related to trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
- Prepare execution packages, manage post-signing processes, and assist with court filings in state probate courts.
- Manage attorneys’ calendars, coordinate meetings, and handle all aspects of travel arrangements.
- Maintain accurate time entry and assist with client billing and expense reporting using legal software tools.
- Open and maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and organization throughout the matter lifecycle.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal departments, delivering exceptional administrative support.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Executive Legal Secretary , preferably in Trusts and Estates or Private Wealth law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word), and familiarity with legal tech tools like iManage, Adobe Acrobat, Carpe Diem, and Chrome River.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when handling legal documents and confidential client data.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment.
