Corporate Associate

Our client is seeking a highly skilled transactional/regulatory attorney with substantial expertise in the 1940 Act, including the Investment Advisory Act (IAA) and the Investment Company Act (ICA). This is an excellent opportunity for a partner or counsel-level candidate who has a strong background in this area of law, with experience at the SEC or a law firm preferred.

The position will focus on work within the market regulation practice and offers flexibility in terms of office location and remote work, depending on jurisdiction. They are open to candidates who may want to supplement an existing book of business or those interested in a part-time opportunity. The title for this position is flexible, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognized corporate practice in a large national law firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on matters related to the 1940 Act, including the Investment Advisory Act (IAA) and Investment Company Act (ICA).
• Work within the market regulation practice group, handling transactional and regulatory matters.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients in the financial services industry.
• Build and foster relationships with clients while contributing to business development efforts.

Qualifications:

• Substantial expertise in the 1940 Act, including IAA and ICA, and regulatory matters within the financial services sector.
• Previous experience at the SEC or in a law firm specializing in securities and regulatory law is highly preferred.
• Strong background in market regulation and related transactional work.
• Flexibility in terms of full-time or part-time work options.
• Strong communication, advocacy, and analytical skills.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, or eligible for admission.

Compensation:

• The base salary for this position ranges from a minimum of $200,000 to a maximum of $350,000 annually. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, education, bar admissions, full-time or part-time status, and overall qualifications.
• The position is eligible for additional benefits and compensation, including performance bonuses.
