Bankruptcy Associate

Our client is seeking a skilled attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join their Bankruptcy business unit in the Chicago, IL office. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build or grow their career in bankruptcy law while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent business debtors, creditors, landlords, and supply chain parties in bankruptcy-related matters.
• Provide support in transactions, business workouts, restructurings, and bankruptcy-related litigation.
• Stay informed and apply knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, Uniform Commercial Code, and related statutes.
• Advocate effectively, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents.
• Work closely with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality legal services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of experience in bankruptcy law, including familiarity with bankruptcy code and business workouts.
• Experience in representing business debtors, creditors, landlords, and supply chain parties in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid work ethic.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois or eligible for admission without examination.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 annually.
• Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
