We are looking for an Associate Director – Clubhouse Programs that will serve as part of the Program Leadership Team and responsible for development and delivery of our program activities that reflect Chicago and Illinois’ diverse population of people living with cancer as well as manage our clinical internship program.
Reporting directly to the Chief Program Officer, works collaboratively with the Associate Director – Hospital & Community Programs to ensure consistent efforts in support of Gilda’s Club’s overall strategic vision and full compliance with the Cancer Support Community’s model.
Primary Responsibilities
- Managerial responsibility for a team of 3 in addition to supervision of Clinical Interns.
- Provide clinical oversight for the organization, including the internship program, intake process, support group placements and transitions, consultation to contracted clinicians, and oversight of individual counseling program.
- Provide direct clinical services including but not limited to group facilitation, individual intakes, individual counseling, crisis intervention, and resource referrals.
- Direct special projects including identifying community partners, managing project timelines, and developing and overseeing strategies to measure success and ensure sustainability.
- Actively engaged in grant management, including creating goals, managing activities and reporting outcomes.
- Work with the Chief Program Officer to create and manage program budgets.
- Hire, supervise and direct program staff and contract facilitators.
Position Requirements
- MUST HAVE : Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- MUST HAVE : IL License as a LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, Clinical Psychologist
- Minimum six (6) years experience working with patients, families, and professionals in a health care setting, with oncology experience preferred.
- Experience with clinical supervision and management (experience with oncology a plus!)
- Significant experience defining goals, measuring progress, achieving both qualitative and quantitative benchmarks.
- Hard worker/ team player with a high energy level willing to work flexible hours, balance multiple projects, and flourish in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bilingual Spanish/English abilities are a plus.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 dependent on experience and licensure
- Medical, Dental and Vision insurance starting 1st of the month following 30 days
- Employer paid Life and Long-Term Disability insurance starting 1st of the month following 30 days
- Personal Time Off (PTO), 11 Paid Holidays and Paid Birthday Holiday after 1 month of employment
- One week vacation after 6 months of employment and 15 days vacation starting after 1 year
