Head of Wholesale
The Head of Wholesale is responsible for leading and growing the wholesale division for Trina Turk, L2T. This role requires a strategic leader with deep industry expertise, strong relationships with retail and off-price partners, and a keen understanding of market trends. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing brand positioning, and overseeing all wholesale operations and account management.
Specific responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to drive revenue growth and expand the brand’s presence in the market.
- Business Development : Identify new business opportunities and potential wholesale and off-price partners to increase the customer base. Create customized assortments tailored to each account's needs.
- Manage Regional Sales Team : Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring a regional team of three to foster professional growth and drive sales.
- Market Preparation: Coordinate and execute market preparation and appointments, ensuring timely and effective follow-up with existing accounts while pursuing new partnerships.
- Relationship Cultivation : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential wholesale accounts.
- Sales Analysis : Analyze market trends, competitor activity and customer preferences to identify opportunities for product development and assortment optimization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross functional Team, including design, production, and marketing to align wholesale strategies to overall company objectives.
- Data Driven Strategies: Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting analysis to senior management, highlighting key takeaways and recommendations.
- Competitive Insights : Know and understand competitive landscape including product, trends and market conditions and be able to articulate these findings to management team and cross functional teams.
Requirements:
- Women’s contemporary apparel is required.
- Proven experience with a minimum of 6 years at a managerial level in a similar role within women’s fashion.
- Ability to travel on a regular basis.
- Ability to review and reforecast dept store OTBs, sales, MDs, and stock levels by month and calculate GM% and deficiencies. Create strategies to mitigate EOS needs.
- Must have high-end department store experience, including Dillard's, with extensive specialty experience. Off price experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the women’s fashion wholesale market, understanding current trends, pricing structures and distribution channels.
- Strong sale and negotiation skills with a track record of building long-term relationships.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently interact with clients, stakeholders and team members at all levels.
- A results driven mindset with a drive to exceed expectations.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, generate actionable insights and make strategic decisions.
- Exhibit upbeat, optimistic and self-starter behavior with an eye for detail.
- Degree in business or fashion preferred.
- Proficiency with excel and Joor.
