Job Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst with solid experience in Back Office operations , particularly in the areas of Collateral Management and Cash Management , to support our client – a leading global investment bank. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, IT, risk, and project teams to drive system enhancements, improve operational workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from collateral and treasury operations teams.
- Draft detailed functional specifications and coordinate with IT and project teams to implement enhancements.
- Participate in the definition and implementation of processes related to margin calls, collateral optimization, and cash funding.
- Contribute to the improvement of workflows and tools for managing bilateral and cleared collateral agreements (e.g., CSA, GMSLA).
- Work closely with the Treasury desk to ensure optimal cash allocation and accurate funding.
- Coordinate UAT, regression testing, and production releases.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Liaise with risk, compliance, and finance departments to ensure alignment with internal controls and regulatory requirements (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank, Basel III).
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager in Back Office functions within the investment banking or financial services industry.
- Solid understanding of collateral management , margining , cash funding , and settlement processes .
- Experience with Capital Markets vendor platform
- Ability to write detailed functional documentation and manage end-to-end project delivery.
- Proficiency in Excel , SQL , and workflow management tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting collateral (EMIR, SFTR, UMR).
