Buying Coordinator

Madison Avenue Couture (MAC) is the premier online destination in the United States for pristine Hermès handbags. As the leading independent reseller, we are the trusted source for new and never-worn Birkin and Kelly bags. In addition to our signature Hermès selection, we curate an exclusive collection of rare Chanel handbags and sought-after branded fine jewelry.

Madison Avenue Couture is seeking a highly motivated Buying Coordinator to support all facets of our Purchasing and Consignment operations. This role is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the luxury resale industry, working closely with a dynamic team on both daily tasks and long-term projects.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about luxury fashion, a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to phone calls and general inquiries from sellers and consignors

• Conduct research on handbags and accessories, including vintage and contemporary styles.

• Assist in preparing consignment/purchase agreements and generating shipping labels

• Support merchandising and listing efforts across platforms

• Assist with in-person appointments and drop-offs

• Contribute to copywriting and blog content as needed

• Provide support to the sales team as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Suite, and Shopify

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Strong interest in luxury brands and fashion; prior retail or luxury experience preferred

• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Location: Midtown Manhattan (in-office)

Start Date: Flexible

Compensation: Based on experience
