We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Payroll Systems Support Specialist to provide ongoing configuration and Tier 1 support for our SAP ECC US payroll and S4 time systems. In this role, you will work closely with the Payroll Technology Lead to ensure seamless system operations, assist with system enhancements, and support the payroll team during the transition to a new payroll system. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, accuracy, and reliability within payroll processes.
This is a technical role which will require 8yrs experience in configuration and testing of an SAP HCM (ECC) payroll system.
Work Schedule: Hybrid: onsite Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week and they can work remotely Wednesdays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 support for payroll system issues, primarily SAP ECC US payroll and S4 time systems.
- Perform system configurations for new or updated payroll requirements.
- Collaborate with the payroll technology lead to implement improvements and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance and support of existing payroll systems during the implementation of a new platform.
- Support year-end payroll processes including testing, data validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Aid in audit preparations by ensuring data accuracy and providing required system reports or documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, IT, Finance) to ensure payroll systems meet organizational needs.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system updates and changes.
- Document system issues and resolutions for future reference and training purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 8+ years of experience with payroll systems support, preferably SAP ECC and/or S4 systems.
- Strong understanding of U.S. payroll processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting payroll system transitions or implementations.
- Familiarity with integration between payroll, HRIS, and time systems.
- Working knowledge of year-end payroll processes and audits.
