This is a terrific opportunity to work for a Corporation offering their clients critical insurance & claim expertise while managing a team and establishing relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
• Offer legal counsel and strategic advice on insurance claims to support brokerage clients in navigating complex issues.
• Oversee and manage a team of Insurance Claim Managers to ensure effective handling of claims processes.
• Provide expert guidance on policy interpretation, coverage assessments, and claims strategies to maximize client recovery.
• Collaborate closely with account teams and major insurance carriers to facilitate prompt and effective claim resolutions.
• Address intricate insurance claims challenges with a focus on delivering client-centric solutions.
• Develop and implement procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of claims handling.
• Evaluate and advise on potential risks and legal exposures related to insurance claims.
• Work with external insurers to negotiate and advocate for favorable outcomes on behalf of clients.
Reqs
• Proven experience in commercial insurance law, with expertise in claims management and policy interpretation.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring teams effectively.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities to manage relationships with clients and insurers.
• In-depth understanding of insurance industry regulations and practices.
• Ability to analyze complex legal and insurance issues and provide actionable solutions.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law.
• Familiarity with claims handling procedures and strategies for maximizing recoveries.
• High level of organizational and analytical skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
