Senior Procurement & Demand Planning Manager

Job Summary

This role is responsible for end-to-end procurement and demand planning operations, ensuring alignment between purchasing activities and market demand. The position manages purchase order execution while driving demand forecasting accuracy to optimize inventory levels. Requires strategic collaboration with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

Integrated Procurement & Planning:

• Develop demand forecasts through analysis of store’s sales trends, market intelligence, and historical data
• Translate demand plans into purchase orders and collaborate with HQ procurement teams to ensure optimal inventory positioning and cost efficiency.
• Lead S&OP meetings with cross-functional teams (supply chain teams and Operation teams).
• Lead local supplier development & capacity incubation to reduce lead times.

Purchase Order Lifecycle Management:

• Create, review, and track POs with embedded demand planning parameters (e.g., lead time, seasonality).
• Resolve PO discrepancies caused by demand-plan deviations or supply constraints.
• Execute localized sourcing or collaborate with HQ procurement to initiate global purchasing based on operational demand.

Supplier Collaboration & Risk Mitigation:

• Develop contingency plans for demand spikes/shortfalls

Data Synthesis & Reporting:

• Maintain integrated PO-Demand Planning dashboards

Generate monthly reports analyzing:

• Forecast accuracy vs. actual sales
• Procurement cycle time vs. demand changes
• Inventory turnover by demand segment
• Propose corrective actions for demand-supply gaps

Requirements

• 5+ years in procurement AND 2+ years in demand planning/forecasting
• Supply chain certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) preferred
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese
• Advanced Excel (Power Query, Scenario Manager)
• Demand planning tools (e.g., Oracle Demantra, Anaplan)
• ERP procurement modules (SAP MM, Oracle Procurement)
• Statistical forecasting methods (Moving Average, Exponential Smoothing)
• Inventory optimization modeling
• Root-cause analysis of forecast error
• Cross-functional leadership in S&OP processes
• Supplier risk negotiation under demand uncertainty
• Data storytelling to align stakeholders
