Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor (Onsite)

We are currently looking to hire a Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor for our client, one of the world’s leading industrial materials companies whose products are critical to the modern economy and carbon reduction. Their materials are essential to the low-carbon, electrified technologies that power modern life, which you will find in products from electric cars to wind turbines.
The Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for leading the Electrical & Instrumentation function to improve site productivity, reliability, and efficiency by contributing to the design, construction, commissioning and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems and machines of the site. The Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily activities for a team of technicians in the areas of safety, quality, and maintenance for all equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team responsible for electrical and instrumentation maintenance across the facility.
- Coordinate repair and installation work, ensuring safety and compliance are always prioritized.
- Support technical training for the crew and help build up team capabilities.
- Oversee inspections, troubleshooting, and system upgrades—especially involving high-voltage equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to meet performance, safety, and reliability goals.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED at minimum, though a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering—or a related discipline—is preferred. They should bring 5+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment such as mining, chemical processing, or power generation, along with hands-on experience in industrial plant electrical design, maintenance, and operations . Familiarity with high DC voltage distribution systems and a valid driver’s license (to operate company vehicles on and off-site) are also required. Knowledge of industry codes, safety standards , and regulatory compliance —especially in chemical plant environments—is essential, as are strong communication and leadership skills.
