The right candidate will also oversee a new business venture, playing a key role in bringing the Founder’s vision to life.
This is an ideal opportunity for a creative problem-solver, strategic thinker, and highly organized operator who thrives in fast-paced, multifaceted environments.

- Coordinate personal logistics: vehicle leases, errands, deliveries, household purchases.
- Lead complex travel planning for the Founder, wife, and parents, including detailed itineraries, bookings, and visa procurement.
- Organize events and dinner parties once a month.
- Conduct weekly in-person check-ins with the Founder to prioritize and triage.
- Act as the central point of contact and filter for all external and internal requests.
Foundation
- Operate as a mini-COO; help define the mission, evaluate grants, and shape strategic direction.
- Track and manage the grant pipeline; maintain timelines and communications.
- Liaise with researchers, artists, and partner organizations.
- Support preparation of materials for foundation board meetings.
Business Venture
- Act as General Manager, recruit and coordinate contractors.
- Manage light operations: track expenses, performance, vendor relationships.
- Support product development and operational rollout of the business.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Chief of Staff to a private individual or family office, operations lead at a foundation or NGO, or in a similar capacity
- Strong track record of hiring, managing, and holding vendors accountable
- Excellent judgment, impeccable discretion, and a service-first mindset
- Highly independent and proactive; quick to make decisions in ambiguous situations
- Hyper-responsive and detail-oriented with a calm, can-do attitude
- Based in or near NYC, within 30–60 minutes of Chelsea
- Able to travel domestically ≈1×/month
- German language skills preferred, not required
Location: Chelsea, NYC (1 day/week in-person, 4 days WFH)
