Procurement Engineer

Pay Range:

Level III: $117,000 - $150,650

Location: Rockville, MD (DMV area) - onsite - RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE

Travel Expectations : 25% depending on project requirements

Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday -Friday

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or Science.
• For LEVEL III: Typically, five years of experience in an engineering or supply chain role required. Experience in Electrical and electronics, power generation, or manufacturing PREFFERED.
• Provide commercial and technical input to the organization to ensure documents used in a procurement are complete and the appropriate contracting strategy is being implemented.
• Experience developing negotiating strategies and leading supplier negotiations.
• Experience in developing strategic Category Management Plans to leverage spend and create value for the company/project.
• Experience related to supplier identification, development, and performance management.
• Technical knowledge about the manufacture, operation, and maintenance of typical power plant components.
