Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client recruit their next Product Line Manager. Our client is seeking a high-performing Product Line Manager to take full ownership of the Home & Garden business unit, including Aerosol and Garden segments. This is a critical role that bridges Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to drive profitable growth, accelerate product innovation, and optimize performance.
You will be the go-to expert for your category, delivering data-driven decisions, crafting winning go-to-market strategies, and turning complex commercial challenges into actionable plans. This is an opportunity to fix what’s broken, optimize what works, and lead what’s next.
Responsibilities
Strategic Product Line Ownership
- Own growth and profitability initiatives for the Home & Garden category.
- Partner cross-functionally to align commercial strategies with supply chain and financial objectives.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities aligned with our manufacturing capabilities.
Data & Financial Leadership
- Deliver financial models, pricing strategies, and forecasts that protect and grow margin.
- Lead cost and profitability analysis in collaboration with Finance and Operations.
- Use data analytics to uncover insights, track performance, and influence direction.
Commercial & Customer Engagement
- Act as the product expert in customer engagements, supporting Sales with technical and strategic insights.
- Develop value propositions and pricing models that win and retain business.
- Manage strategic customer projects from idea through execution.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Oversee lifecycle initiatives such as cost reduction, value engineering, and material transitions.
- Drive internal projects that increase operational efficiency and capacity.
- Support marketing efforts with sales tools, collateral, trade show materials, and digital content.
Market Leadership
- Track and analyze competition, market trends, and consumer research.
- Lead training efforts on product knowledge, pricing strategy, and competitive positioning.
- Recommend new product ideas and enhancements to ensure long-term category competitiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of product management, category leadership, or commercial strategy experience
- Strong understanding of P&L performance, pricing, and business strategy
- Strong financial modeling and data analytics capabilities (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Willing to travel up to 25% for customer and plant visits, and industry events
