Currently our Digital Platforms team is seeking a Junior Web Developer who is interested in growing their career in both front and back-end programming while working to support several global eCommerce websites.
The Junior Web Developer will build front end web experiences and back-end commerce tools while ensuring the responsiveness of developed applications and working alongside our creative teams for web design features and functionality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Working under the guidance of the Manager of Digital Platforms, Junior Web Developers will :
- Develop a thorough understanding of the brands’ business, business objectives and existing technologies.
- Write clean, readable code in various programming languages.
- Assist with incoming support tickets and implement new user-facing features across various company websites.
- Monitor and apply patches to company websites and web applications.
- Optimize web pages for speed and search engine optimization.
- Describe and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Provide suggestions for technical solutions to solve problems.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders on related project deliverables.
- Clearly document processes, procedures, and changes.
- Attend daily standup meetings with the Digital Platforms team.

Requirements and Qualifications
Experience, Knowledge, and Education
- IT-related bachelor’s degree or certification or relevant years of experience.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in front-end web development.
- Experience developing software changes based on user stories is strongly preferred.
- Ability to convert business requirements into functional code changes.
- Possesses a growing understanding of responsive web development.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and Tag Manager a plus.

Proficiency in:
- HTML5/CSS3
- JavaScript
- PHP
- WordPress
- Git VCS (GitHub preferred)
Familiarity with:
- Magento 2
- AWS
- JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
- web front-end libraries (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
- CSS pre-processors (SASS or LESS)
Other
- Ability to work overtime as business needs warrant, may include nights and weekends
- Domestic/international travel required (less than 10%)
- Employees who are in a Non-Exempt position must accurately complete, obtain approval from their manager, and timely submit a timecard in the form provided by the Company as it coincides with the Company’s bi-weekly payroll schedule.
