Job Description
ProspectBlue is proud to partner a large, community-centered nonprofit organization seeking a Director of Facilities and Operations to support a dynamic range of services and programs by overseeing the care of its campus facilities and the staff responsible for their maintenance and use.
The Director of Facilities and Operations will report to the Executive Director of Finance and Administration and will manage a team that includes facilities staff, kitchen staff, and café personnel.

- Familiarity with procurement, facilities systems, and emergency response planning

Primary Responsibilities:
Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise a team of four full-time facilities staff, a part-time kitchen manager/chef, and a part-time café manager
- Coordinate staff coverage for all on-site events
- Oversee work schedules, task assignments, and standard operating procedures
- Partner with kitchen and café managers on procurement and scheduling
Facility and Operations Oversight
- Manage relationships with vendors for repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements
- Administer service contracts and oversee the bidding and approval processes
- Ensure the cleanliness of offices and public spaces through coordination with third-party vendors
- Monitor procurement for facilities and program support
- Oversee security coordination and emergency response protocols
Campus and Grounds Management
- Support the maintenance of landscaped grounds, parking areas, and outdoor facilities
- Manage burial requests and records; oversee the maintenance of the on-site memorial garden
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health standards
- Submit annual budget requests and maintain capital improvement plans
Technology and Systems Support
- Coordinate with leadership on IT infrastructure, including computers, appliances, and phone systems
- Help manage the facility reservation system (e.g., eSpace platform), including event registration and setup logistics
Liaison and Coordination
- Act as a point of contact for campus partners including a preschool, café, farmers market, gift shop, and local schools
- Attend regular staff and committee meetings, serving as a representative for operational matters
