They are seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Manager to lead air quality permitting and compliance projects, work closely with clients, and manage project teams to ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance and technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a skilled team in preparing comprehensive air permit applications, including strategy development, project descriptions, and regulatory analyses, while collaborating closely with clients to ensure their needs are met with precision.
- Review environmental reports, permits, and applications, providing expert guidance to clients to ensure strict adherence to all permits, rules, and regulations.
- Communicate complex scientific and technical information to project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies through clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Assist clients with coordination and compliance efforts related to permit acquisition, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Develop detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for air quality permitting and compliance projects, ensuring accuracy and cost-efficiency.
- Manage the quality, scope, timeline, and financial aspects of projects, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional results.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to successfully support multiple projects and initiatives concurrently.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, while collaborating with internal teams to drive successful project outcomes across diverse assignments.
Job Requirements:
- B.S./M.S. degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related science field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in environmental consulting, specifically focused on air quality permitting and compliance.
- In-depth understanding of EPA/TCEQ air regulations and practices; experience with other state and local agencies is highly valued.
- Knowledge of refining, chemical, and industrial process operations.
- Expertise in PBRs, Title V, PSD, and nonattainment permitting processes.
- Experience with emissions calculations and air quality modeling.
- Strong experience in client relationship building and articulating complex regulatory requirements.
- Effective project management skills, with a focus on achieving both client satisfaction and internal profitability goals.
