Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on HR Manager to oversee human resources operations at our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for fostering a positive work culture, managing recruiting and employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and overseeing workers' compensation. What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR staff.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for the HR team; conduct regular check-ins and evaluations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategy with operational goals and workforce needs.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors regarding workplace concerns and policy interpretation
- Conduct internal investigations and ensure consistent disciplinary action and documentation
- Promote a respectful, accountable, and positive workplace culture
Recruitment & Staffing
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and orientation
- Collaborate with department leaders to forecast workforce needs and reduce turnover
- Build relationships with external recruiting partners and workforce development programs
Policy & Compliance
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies in compliance with federal and state laws
- Ensure FMLA, ADA, and EEO compliance and prepare required HR reports for leadership
- Educate managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
Workers’ Compensation & Safety
- Coordinate workers’ comp claims and return-to-work programs
- Maintain accurate safety and incident records and support OSHA compliance efforts
- Collaborate with safety personnel on workplace safety initiatives and investigations
Training & Development
- Support training efforts and assist supervisors with performance reviews and improvement plans
- Encourage employee development through cross-training and learning opportunities
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of labor law, workers’ compensation, and HR compliance standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus
