CNC Programmer/Machinist
ASI Doors, Inc.
Job Description
About ASI Doors:
At ASI Doors, we pride ourselves on being a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance door systems that serve some of the most demanding industries — including refrigerated warehousing, life sciences, industrial, commercial, and security markets. Our reputation is built on innovation, quality, and our ability to meet evolving customer needs with cutting-edge solutions.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our growing engineering and manufacturing team. This is a key role in the production of the precision components that set our door systems apart in the marketplace. You’ll be working with advanced 5-axis CNC routers and sheet metal turret presses, programming for accuracy, efficiency, and innovation.
If you enjoy problem-solving, working with advanced technology, and being part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact product quality — this is the place for you.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis CNC routers and sheet metal turret presses.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to produce precise machining layouts.
- Use CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) to generate and simulate toolpaths.
- Select the right tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient, high-precision machining of plastics, composites, and aluminum.
- Partner with design engineers and production teams to resolve part geometry, tooling, or setup challenges.
- Conduct test runs and fine-tune programs to ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability.
- Maintain thorough documentation of programs, machine setups, and process parameters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives — focusing on cycle time reduction, material efficiency, and process automation.
- Support maintenance teams by helping develop preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide training and troubleshooting assistance to machine operators.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering documents, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software — Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machining principles.
- Experience working with plastics, composites, and sheet metal fabrication (punching, bending, forming).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-driven approach.
- Effective communicator and team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and thrive in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
Why Join ASI Doors?
- Be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Work in a supportive environment with the resources to help you succeed.
- Make a direct impact on products that serve critical industries worldwide.
- Enjoy competitive compensation, great benefits, and opportunities to grow your career.
