Job Description
Rincker Law, PLLC — a nationally recognized leader in food and agriculture law — is seeking a Senior Food & Agriculture Law Attorney to spearhead our ag law practice. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a seasoned lawyer with deep knowledge of the agricultural industry, experience in renewable energy leases, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of attorneys.

Practice Areas Include:
- Agri-business and farm law
- Renewable energy leases (solar, wind, battery storage)
- Business formations, contracts, and risk management
- Ag lien law, leases, succession planning, and environmental compliance
- Food law, including regulatory compliance and labeling
- Farm real estate transactions and leases
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the food & agriculture law division of Rincker Law
- Advise farm families, agri-businesses, cooperatives, and food companies
- Draft and negotiate renewable energy leases and easements
- Mentor and manage junior attorneys in the firm
- Provide practical, business-minded solutions to rural clients
- Collaborate with colleagues in estate planning, family law, and business law to offer holistic services
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois or in another state (must have the ability to waive into Illinois)
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in food and agriculture law or a closely related field
- Strong understanding of rural legal issues and the agricultural industry
- Direct experience with renewable energy lease negotiation and review
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor junior associates
- Skilled communicator with strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and mission-driven
Work Location & Flexibility:
- Work full-time from our Champaign or Shelbyville offices, hybrid, or fully remote
- Some travel may be required for client meetings or industry events
