Key Responsibilities:

• Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives

• Structure tax-efficient wealth-transfer strategies, including GRATs and FLPs

• Prepare federal and California estate and gift tax returns

• Advise on advanced techniques such as charitable trusts and generation-skipping strategies

• Guide trust administration and probate matters from initiation to resolution

• Lead client consultations and coordinate with CPAs and financial advisors

• Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals on estate planning and tax law matters

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of estate and tax planning experience

• Active member of the California State Bar

• Deep familiarity with federal and California probate and transfer tax laws

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex client portfolios

• Exceptional drafting, legal research, and case management skills

Certifications & Education:

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school

• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not mandatory

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in IRS Code Sections 2001–2801 and probate code compliance

• Familiarity with WealthDocx, HotDocs, or other estate-planning platforms

• Strong verbal and written communication for client interaction

• Organizational aptitude with multitasking across high-value matters

• Team-oriented mindset and cross-disciplinary collaboration
