Overview:

Seeking a Sr. Structural Design Engineer with leadership experience in large, complex engineering projects . The role involves leading teams , providing technical oversight , and ensuring project accuracy and compliance throughout all phases. The ideal candidate will have strong structural analysis skills, extensive experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects , and the ability to interface effectively with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Area Lead Engineer , guiding and supervising engineers and designers.
• Develop, review, and approve design criteria, specifications, and engineering calculations .
• Perform advanced structural analysis for steel and concrete structures , including wind, seismic, and dynamic loading .
• Use structural design software such as STAAD, STAADPro, RISA3D, and Mathcad .
• Ensure project execution aligns with scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards .
• Support procurement, vendor coordination, and construction phases.
• Prepare estimates, forecasts, and progress reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 10 years of structural design experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, including DOE standards.
• Proficient in 3D modeling, 2D CADD, and engineering analysis tools.
• EPC experience on large industrial projects.
• Advanced expertise in structural software and dynamic analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with nuclear facility design under ASME NQA-1 requirements.
• Familiarity with material cost and commercial availability.
• Experience leading large-scale, multi-discipline projects.
• EPC experience for DOE, federal government, nuclear, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.
• Practical field experience and strong project management skills.
