Procurement Specialist

Job Description & Responsibilities :

• This is an entry level procurement position within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) organization. Y
• You will be responsible for source selection and quotation activities, negotiations, selecting qualified suppliers, seeking alternate suppliers (when applicable) with direction from program and peers, and assisting in supplier negotiations (price, schedules and terms & conditions, to include software licenses).
• This position requires the management of a high volume of low complexity procurements in support of a government program.
• Candidate will occasionally be asked to serve as the focal point for interface and communication between the programs and suppliers.

Desired Skills:

• 2 years relevant experience in procurement/supply chain role.
• SAP
• DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS)
• Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar discipline
