Electrical Project Manager (Construction)

Position: Electrical Project Manager

Location: San Antonio TX 78227

Work schedule: M-F, 7-4 / 8-5

Salary: 100,000 – 130,000

Must Haves:

• 6 + years of experience in electrical service or construction project management
• Need to understand from estimations, take offs, budgets, submittals, close out, ect.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment – managing 3-4 projects at a time, ranging in duration from 8 months to 2 years.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate electrical projects from start to finish.
• Strong safety first type mind set.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, service work, and construction site processes – specific to commercial, K-12 clients, higher education or healthcare systems
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Accubid, 4 clicks, Procore, or similar platforms)
• Ability to schedule (manpower) and financially manage at the project level (revenue, job costs, indirect costs, margin, etc) – manage to the direct cost margin
• Ability too understand different between direct margin vs. gross margin

Day-to-Day:

An employer in San Antonio is looking for a construction Project Manager to join their Electrical division. This individual would be responsible for full lifecycle project management to include - Project planning – awarded work from estimator to construction PM should be thinking of things like schedule, procurement, risk mitigation, opportunities to make more money on the job, setting up meetings with owner / engineer and estimating cost to complete the project.

This individual should have proven experience with the project management piece, risk identification and mitigation, be comfortable working with projects in the 2-5M range, fast paced projects ranging in duration up to 2 years, and should be comfortable and proficient in identifying new business opportunities.
