About the Role
Our client, a mission-driven EdTech company, is seeking a Creative Project Manager to lead the execution and coordination of multimedia and design projects across departments. This hybrid role, based in Petaluma, California , will support cross-functional creative operations by managing workflows, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring seamless delivery of digital and print assets.
The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience in creative environments—agency or in-house—along with a high degree of fluency in digital production, design collaboration, and leveraging AI tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the scope, schedule, and execution of multiple concurrent creative projects across design and media teams.
- Develop and manage detailed project timelines, deliverables, and team communications.
- Serve as the key point of contact across stakeholders, ensuring clarity on creative objectives and status.
- Translate complex requirements into actionable workflows that align with brand standards and content strategy.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve roadblocks and ensure timely delivery.
- Document and optimize creative operations processes to drive scalability and efficiency.
- Leverage AI tools to assist in creative production, content review, and workflow automation.
- Maintain consistent management practices and ensure positive team dynamics.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 3+ years of creative project management experience in fast-paced agency or in-house environments
- Proven track record managing design, media, or marketing projects across channels (digital, print, video)
- Fluency in project management tools—Smartsheet preferred, especially automation features
- Familiarity with creative production file types and specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience using AI tools to support creative development or production
Preferred:
- Previous experience in education, publishing, media, or EdTech sectors
- Experience managing projects in highly collaborative, cross-functional creative environments
