Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver project objectives, including planning, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Conduct engineering calculations, field investigations, and energy modeling.
- Oversee the production and quality control of mechanical/plumbing design documents.
- Coordinate project designs with client specifications and code requirements.
- Serve as project manager, monitoring schedules, budgets, and manpower requirements.
- Develop project management plans, pricing, and budgets.
- Lead and manage team members, providing continuous performance management and leadership.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited University.
- 12+ years of experience in designing and specifying HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Professional Engineer License or EIT with the ability to obtain PE within 6 months to a year.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE and Carrier HAP preferred).
- Strong understanding of building, energy, and mechanical/plumbing codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commissioning certification (CxA, BCxP) and project management certification (CAPM, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience with local, state, and federal clients, and various project delivery methods.
- Expertise in designing industrial mechanical/plumbing systems and fire protection.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork.
- Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
