Tax Manager

An established Bay Area public accounting firm is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager to its team. This is a full-time opportunity with strong upside for leadership and future partnership, supporting a diverse client base of closely-held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage multiple tax engagements across various entity types
• Serve as the primary point of contact between partners, clients, and staff
• Provide strategic tax planning, review complex returns, and identify tax-saving opportunities
• Oversee staff work, ensure accuracy, and maintain firm standards
• Manage client relationships and deliver exceptional service
• Drive efficiency and profitability across projects and processes
• Support audit coordination and regulatory compliance when needed

What You Bring

• CPA license (required)
• Bachelor's in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation preferred
• 6+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
• Strong understanding of entity taxation and compliance
• Confident leadership style with a collaborative, solution-first mindset
• Comfortable with CCH (Axcess, Engagement, XCM) and other tax tech
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
