Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for both a Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef located in Richmond, VA. The Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting with menu planning, food preparation, and presenting high-quality dishes. They will also ensure kitchen operations run smoothly, maintain food safety standards, and supervise kitchen staff. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, ordering supplies, and coordinating with front-of-house staff. Hours are 6am - job is done (usually 2:00) M-F with some Saturdays.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills, including food preparation and menu planning
- Experience in kitchen management and supervision
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Previous experience in catering is a plus
