We are currently seeking a highly experienced full-time Industrial Water Treatment Service Technician to support and grow our customer base in the Charleston, SC area.
Position Overview:
This dual-role position is ideal for a seasoned water treatment professional who thrives both in the field and in client-facing interactions. The successful candidate will provide hands-on service and support to existing accounts while also identifying new business opportunities and helping grow Coastline’s footprint in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine service visits for water treatment programs, including testing, system adjustments, and chemical delivery for cooling towers, boilers, and closed loop systems.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues and provide technical recommendations to optimize results.
- Maintain accurate service reports and communicate results to customers and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current clients, ensuring satisfaction and program retention.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Charleston area to expand Coastline’s market share.
- Prepare proposals, present solutions, and close new accounts in collaboration with management.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Coastline and customer safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial water treatment (required).
- Strong technical knowledge of cooling water, steam boiler, and closed loop systems.
- Proven ability to independently manage service routes and solve complex treatment challenges.
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sales experience or aptitude for consultative selling is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and handle chemical containers and equipment as needed.
Preferred:
- Certified Water Technologist (CWT) or willingness to pursue certification.
- Experience with industrial or commercial accounts in healthcare, manufacturing, or government facilities.
- OSHA Certified
- HAZMAT
