K&D is hiring skilled Real Estate Property Maintenance Technicians to join our team!

Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the property, buildings, landscaping, and ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction. Duties are performed with safety and efficiency in mind, maintaining both operational functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete service requests and ensure timely quality repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Conduct daily inspections of common areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Assist with suite turnovers and ensure make-ready is completed.
- Perform minor repairs such as changing air filters, replacing light bulbs, and fixing small appliances.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency repairs.
- Complete daily boiler room checks, log readings, and report concerns.
- Assist with landscaping as needed and help maintain exterior property image.
- Report any property issues to the Maintenance Director or Property Manager.
Requirements:
- Active driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a basic maintenance skills assessment.
- Must have basic hand tools. (K&D offers the option to purchase a required tool set upon hire with easy payroll deduction.)
- Pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Schedule:
- Full-time: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary by one hour).
- No evenings or weekends unless on-call for emergencies.
- On-call rotation with generous bonus pay for emergency service calls.
Pay:
- Based on experience and site location.
- Compensation ranges based on skill set. Determined based on maintenance assessment, years of experience, and any earned certification.
- Positions available for all levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Senior
- Immediate placement available after passing the skills assessment at our corporate office in Willoughby.
