Job Description and Responsibilities:
Title: Electrical Technician
Exact location: Huger, South Carolina
Travel: None. 100% on-site
Pay range: first year $95,000 - $105,000
Shift: Rotating 4 days on 4 days off, 4 nights on 4 nights off 6:30 to 6:45

Our client, a leading company, is seeking motivated Electrical Technicians to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals with a strong electrical foundation and a passion for continuous learning to play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of this cutting-edge facility. The ideal candidates will be team players who demonstrate high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership, contributing to the success of the team by safely performing preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of steel mill electrical equipment and systems. They will also have the chance to propose and implement innovative solutions to challenges in the steel making process. Safety is paramount, and candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold stringent safety policies and practices.
Successful candidates will safely perform preventative and corrective maintenance on steel mill electrical equipment, including AC/DC motors, drives, power distribution, control systems, PLCs, and overhead cranes.
They will utilize their proven electrical troubleshooting skills and solid understanding of electrical theory (Ohm's and Kirchhoff's Laws) to diagnose and resolve electrical issues across the facility.
The role requires effective collaboration within a team, demonstrating leadership potential and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements in the steel making process.
Requirements
Demonstrated electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Solid understanding of electrical theory (Ohm's and Kirchhoff's Laws).
Experience with medium and low voltage electrical systems, motors, starters, and drives.
Aptitude and strong desire to learn new technologies and processes.
Preferred Skills: PLC experience, high voltage electrical experience, overhead crane maintenance, and experience with electrical substation equipment.
