Job Description
Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Dania, FL (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Head of HR
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role will have a strong focus on recruiting and leave of absence/health leave programs , while also supporting a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service to both employees and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for various roles across departments.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and effective sourcing strategies.
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
- Maintain and optimize the applicant tracking system (ATS); generate recruiting reports and metrics.
- Contribute to employer branding and diversity hiring initiatives.
Leave of Absence & Health Leave Administration
- Administer and coordinate all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, personal medical leave, and related accommodations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers throughout the leave process.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations.
- Liaise with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to track and manage leave cases accurately.
- Educate managers and employees on leave policies and procedures.
General HR Support
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support employee relations by helping to address workplace concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition experience.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.
- Support compliance initiatives, including audits, training, and policy documentation.
- Participate in HR projects related to performance management, engagement, DEI, and process improvement.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
- Demonstrated experience in both recruiting and leave administration.
- Solid understanding of employment and leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC).
- Proficient in HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and empathy.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.
