RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and enhance the organization’s quality management system, ensuring alignment with internal standards, customer requirements, and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, process engineering, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and purchasing teams to investigate and resolve issues related to customer complaints, product design, material quality, tooling, and production processes.
- Develop and maintain quality control plans, incorporating statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and trend reporting to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and improve the quality assurance program to ensure the conformity and performance of all incoming materials and components.
- Partner with engineering teams to define quality procedures and guidelines for new product development, ensuring a robust launch process.
- Conduct quality reviews of current products and update or establish relevant QA procedures and documentation.
- Create and maintain detailed inspection criteria, including inspection reports, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Implement quality assurance protocols during pre-production phases and startup of production lines.
- Work directly with production supervisors to communicate, monitor, and enforce quality standards on the shop floor.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and process evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, GED, or HSED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field required.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in ISO-certified CNC machining and precision assembly environments.
- At least 7 years of experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving within a continuous improvement setting, specifically related to metal materials or CNC processes.
- Proven experience conducting internal audits and producing comprehensive audit reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and strong computer literacy required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ability to write detailed technical reports, business correspondence, and documentation.
- Strong foundation in advanced mathematics and statistical analysis techniques.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and precision measuring tools (e.g., CMM, gauges, calipers, micrometers).
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies, including value stream mapping, root cause analysis, Kaizen events, and process capability studies (Cp, Cpk).
