Job Title: Purchasing Agent
Location: Marina del Rey, CA 90292
Duration: 3+ Months
Pay Rate: $35 - $40/hr. on w2
Years of Experience (minimum): 3 - 5 years in HOSPITAL procurement.
Description:
POSITION IS TEMP | HYBRID | Start Time: Anytime between 7am-9am.
Must Have Hospital Experience
Skills Required: Buying experience, P2P knowledge, Excel-Pivot, Lookup, general understanding of purchasing terms and conditions, Match Exception resolution. Healthcare Buying experience, advanced understanding of terms and conditions, negotiation skills, Match Exception expertise
Procedure Types: Req to PO conversion. Order fulfilment follows up, Invoice discrepancy resolution
Position Responsibilities/Expectations
- Initiates and maintains purchase orders, utilizing Oracle Cloud ERP
- Works closely with requesting departments, providing information and assistance in purchasing related matters.
- Continually seeks to understand and support customer needs, concerns, and priorities. Meets or exceed customer expectations and requirements.
- Identifies available sources of supply, including alternate products, in the event of back orders.
- Checks Requisition accuracy and completeness prior to creating Pos
- Checks order status or confirmation before close of business each day to assure timely delivery and performance standards are met.
- Contacts departments via approved process in the event of a critical product on back order
- Obtains emergency and rush ordered supplies in coordination with the end user departments as required.
- Works cooperatively & collaboratively with others toward the accomplishment of shared goals
- Resolve price discrepancies
- Additional duties as needed
