Project Manager (mid-level) - Software Releases

Great opportunity for a mid-level PM with 3-5 years of experience to join a successful Software/Tech company! You must have a proven track record in project management, expertise in Jira, and hands-on experience in software release projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, while maintaining high-quality standards.

This is a 6-month contract (opportunity to convert to perm).

This is a hybrid role based in Alpharetta, GA:

• You must work in-office 5 days/week for the first month .
• You can then work remotely 2 days/week after this ramp-up period .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, execute, and oversee software release projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, using Jira for task tracking and management
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
• Orchestrate and prioritize efforts for teams responsible for requirements gathering, design reviews, issue mitigation/resolution, etc.
• Utilize Jira to manage workflows, track progress, and create reports for project status updates
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 to 5 years of IT Project Management experience (mid-level)
• Experience managing software projects for a software development organization (releases, development, implementation, or similar)
• Experience with Jira
• Process improvement experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Monday.com
• AWS/cloud experience
• External client-facing experience
