Construction Estimator

Our client is searching for 2 Construction Estimators for both Commercial Bids and Commercial Construction . They are a respected commercial contracting firm known for delivering high-quality construction services across all trades.

Summary

We are seeking detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimators to join our team. This role is critical in preparing accurate cost estimates for a wide range of commercial construction projects, from $25K renovations to $20M builds. You’ll collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive and precise bids.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to develop detailed cost estimates
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare labor/material breakdowns
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks
• Assist in bid preparation and submission
• Track budgets and adjust estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle
• Stay current on market trends, labor rates, and material pricing

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Construction Estimating
• Experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes
• Proficiency in estimating software (eg, ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam etc)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
