Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive legal counsel and support on a broad range of transactional and corporate matters, including:
o General contract drafting and review of legal documents (commercial, licensing, vendor, employment, etc.).
o Assist in drafting and negotiating complex high value commercial transactions in the high-tech telecom field with globally recognized leading companies (not a SaaS company).
o Intellectual property review (software and technology licensing).
o Corporate governance (regulations, cybersecurity, privacy, import/export, etc.).
Required Qualifications
o Minimum 5 years’ experience as a transactional lawyer (mix of firm and in house experience preferred).
o Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school and California bar admission.
o Onsite in Santa Clara CA (no remote work).
o Can-do attitude and strong work ethic; no task is beneath you and no problem is unsolvable.
o Ability to operate unsupervised with attention to detail.
o Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing business critical projects; schedule may vary.
o Outstanding communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
o Minimum 2 years’ experience negotiating frame agreements for high tech manufacturing companies.
o Experience collaborating in an international organization.
o Strong ability to quickly learn other practice areas, and desire to work in a lean team with a lot of exposure and scope.
Salary and Benefits
$145,000 - $170,000 a year
o Competitive salary based upon experience. The salary range posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
