Temp Head of Quality Management

Job description
Placers Professional's premier client is looking for a Quality Management System professiona l. This role will support the Quality Management System maintenance in one of their fast-paced plants in Elkton, MD. The role will have the responsibility to maintain ISO9001 certification. The contractor will be required to partner with sales, manufacturing, procurement, quality and
engineering team members. This is a Contract to Hire Opportunity/ Onsite only.


Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System, including compliance with applicable quality standards such as ISO9001:2015 and Food Contact requirements.
Own and prepare for internal and external ISO9001 Audits, including acting as a point of contact for the certification bodies and auditors.
Develop the audit program, coordinate and perform internal audits.
Report nonconformance and opportunities to leadership.
Ensure audit non conformances are addressed in a timely manner
Organization & facilitation of Management Review, including preparation and coordination of the reviews.
Collaborate with the PaCS team in the identification and implementation of QMS requirements relative to Food compliance.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience on the job. Preferably in engineering, supply chain management, or business.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an ISO certified manufacturing facility working with or supporting a management system
Experience in leading and managing audits to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 requirements
Proven ability to influence across functions and leadership
Excellent communication, interpersonal and multicultural skills
Excellent prioritization, planning, and organizational skills with proven track record of consistently finishing projects, producing results, and driving sustainment.

Desired Qualifications
Certified ISO9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 Auditor
Certified Quality Engineer or Quality Manager (ASQ)
Continuous Improvement Skillset
