Technical Sales Representative
MAF Industries specializes in the development and production of comprehensive turnkey solutions for packing houses, encompassing everything from conveyor lines for grading to electronically sorting and packaging fresh fruits and vegetables. We are seeking a dedicated Technical Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on understanding the needs of packers/packing houses and providing them with tailored solutions utilizing our cutting-edge products and technology. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will report directly to the Sales Manager and will be the face of MAF Industries to our end users. Your responsibilities will include driving sales, establishing and maintaining relationships, leading negotiations, and serving as a primary resource for product knowledge.
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - 115,000 plus commission, company vehicle, health insurance, and 401k w/ 10% match.

Job responsibilities:
- Position requires someone who has effective communication skills but more importantly the aptitude and energy to promote technical information and processes to our sophisticated agricultural cliental.
- You will assess the needs of the packer, take their input, and show them solutions using our new and innovative technology.
- Meet or exceed all assigned sales and brand performance objectives
- Develop, build, and maintain relationships with current and new clients.
- Develop additional contacts within existing accounts to meet sales quotas, increase revenue and continuously grow the business.
- Provide comprehensive advice and guidance in response to customer inquiries regarding technical specifications, product selection, and general sales information.
- Prepare responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information)
- Attending and participating in sales meetings, trade shoes, customer meetings, conferences, and other marketing events.
- Maintain expertise of MAF Industries, Inc. Products and Services, relevant and appropriate knowledge of competitive products
- Perform all work in accordance with all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements
- Willingness to travel in assigned region and to required corporate functions, including periodic weekend and extended travel when necessary, in region and internationally.
- Work as a productive member of the MAF Industries, Inc. Team at all times to achieve expected objectives and outcomes; Provide process improvement recommendations to MAF Industries, Inc. Leadership Team
- Perform all other duties assigned by MAF Industries, Inc.
Qualifications:
- Background should include first-hand knowledge of packing house operations and equipment applications.
- Strong business acumen; analytical ability
- Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills; a team-player that is self-motivated
- Bachelor s Degree from an accredited four-year institution (education in science or business a plus)
- Minimum of 2 years equipment sales experience and/or extensive knowledge of packing houses and/or optical sorting
- Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales objectives; product launch experience preferred
- Injectable (buy and bill) experience highly preferred, supportive care sales experience a plus
- Previous experience in either sales training, sale operations or managing care functions a plus
- Adaptable to changing priorities and market dynamics
- Optical sorting, traceability, food safety, automation and mechanical related to the agricultural industry
- Promote financial benefits to clients providing evidence on return of investment on solution sold
- Project management knowledge; cost, schedule and quality
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a valid passport
- Possess a valid driver s license and meet the requirements of the corporate motor vehicle policy
- Must be capable of driving without restrictions
- Ability to work in food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outside in high/low temperatures.
- Travel may include weekends and overnight work
