UNC Asheville invites applications for the position of Head Men's Tennis Coach. This position is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the intercollegiate men's tennis program. The Head Men's Tennis Coach at UNC Asheville will lead a competitive NCAA Division I Men's Tennis program that aligns with the athletic department strategic plan. The ideal candidate will exhibit our core values of servant leadership, dedication, excellence, and inclusion. Also, the individual will be passionate about working in college athletics and developing students into champions and leaders in the classroom, in the community, and on the court with our current resources.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to coaching, teaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations. This position is required to adhere to all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Big South Conference.

Exempt

This position requires possession of post baccalaureate credentials. May also consider a Bachelor's degree and equivalent independent experience. A successful candidate will have collegiate tennis experience as a coach, student-athlete, and/or professional level.

• Master's degree preferred.
• Two to four years of collegiate tennis experience as a coach and/or professional level.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge and adherence to compliance with University, Big South Conference and NCAA Division I rules and regulations is a plus.
• A history of dedication to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.

Responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Women's Tennis Program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics Department and the University including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations. Adheres to all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Big South Conference.
