Cardiology opening in MarylandAnnapolis, MDFull timeFull-Time Outpatient and/or Inpatient Maryland-Based Practice Position Objective:To deliver comprehensive, specialty-specific medical care and services to patients in alignment with state and federal regulations, professional guidelines, and organizational standards.Essential Job Duties: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Provide thorough medical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care in your field of specialty Offer patient education and counseling appropriate to medical needs and care plans Maintain current licensure and fulfill continuing medical education (CME) requirements as mandated by Maryland State Law Collaborate and communicate effectively with referring physicians and specialists regarding patient care and treatment plans Participate in scheduled call rotation and refer patients to appropriate specialty care as necessary Practice in accordance with professional standards and regulatory guidelines, including those of the State of Maryland, Board of Physicians Quality Assurance (BPQA), American Medical Association (AMA), Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), and internal policies Education & Experience Requirements: Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD or DO) required Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in area of specialty required Licensure & Certifications: Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required Current DEA and CDS registrations required Board Certification or Board Eligibility in the relevant specialty required
