Position Description:
This position designs, develops, and implements artificial intelligence solutions, including traditional ML and generative AI, to solve complex business problems and enhance operational efficiency. This position can solve problems with AI, capture and design future state solutions using AI technologies, processes, and practices and can create Machine learning or algorithmic solutions along with knowing where each type of solution would be most applicable

Position Location:
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.
What you do:
- Design, train, and optimize ML/DS models, implement validation frameworks, and manage data pipelines.
- Build scalable AI infrastructure, implement CI/CD for ML models, monitor production performance, and manage model versioning.
- Design APIs and microservices, integrate AI with existing infrastructure, ensure system scalability, and maintain documentation.
- Deploy and customize LLMs, design RAG systems, develop PoCs for emerging agentic solutions, and optimize inference costs.
- Implement model monitoring, ensure fairness, document model lineage, and manage a model registry.
- Enforce AI security measures, ensure data privacy compliance, monitor model vulnerabilities, and maintain audit trails.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product teams, IT, and business stakeholders, while guiding DevOps on deployment needs.
- Review code and architecture, mentor junior associates, contribute to technical strategy, and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Identify, prioritize, and deliver on targeted business objectives, ensuring solutions meet expected needs with effective training and adoption.
- Define AI/ML best practices, optimize workflows, and drive innovation through research and development.
- Bachelors degree or relevant combination of education and experience required.
- 3-5 years of overall experience required.
- 1 year of experience with Generative AI, small & large language model architectures, computer vision, and reinforcement learning desired.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Bedrock or Azure AI services) and open-source solutions (Ollama, Open WebUI, Flowise, etc.) desired.
- A solid understanding of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) workflows and evaluating model accuracies desired.
