The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Laboratory director for the Medical Surgical Business, you will lead new product development for the 1) Sterility Assurance business which includes biological and chemical Indicators, electronic hardgoods and software to provide connected solutions, and 2) Temperature Management business that includes electronic hardgoods, software, and consumables supporting the Bair HuggerTM product family, and SpotOnTM core body temperature monitoring system. You will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing, coaching, and directing multiple workgroups;

• Leading more complex projects and portfolio outcomes;

• Communicate management goals and exemplifies corporate values to assigned personnel;

• As member of the Infection Prevention and Surgical Solutions Team, creates and drives strategic direction; and

• Originating, championing, executing a pipeline of new products and major laboratory initiatives aligned with business strategy.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering from an accredited institution

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• 8 years of Medical Device Product Development

• 8 years of R&D Management and/or Project Management

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in a broad array of technologies including electronics and software, microbiology, and chemistry.

• Masters or Doctorate in Engineering or Sciences

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with healthcare professionals.

• Medical Device new product development for global market

• Experience in the development of Intellectual Property.

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to St. Paul, MN at least 3 days per week

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $222,044 - $271,387, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
