Unit Secretary - Hudson Valley - Maternity - Full Time - Nights

As a Unit Secretary, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of patient information and supporting clinical staff in delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, managing the transition of care process, performing NYS Department of Health data entry, and scheduling/registering patients for maternity tours and classes.

You'll also assist with coverage coordination, scheduling, and general clerical duties at the unit nursing station. Your role involves welcoming and directing visitors and staff, paging nurses, answering unit phones, and signing for medical deliveries - all while maintaining a courteous, respectful, and professional demeanor.

This is a full time night shift position, working 7p-7:15a, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in a healthcare environment.

• Medical Terminology Course or medical background.

Required Criteria

• Qualified candidates have at least one year of previous clerical experience and basic computer knowledge.

• Strong communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills required.
